Re: It worries me that Rafa took so long to decide Iwobi and Rondon...
And yet Godfrey's been average at best, but mostly poor all season, for whatever reasons.
Think I'll trust the manager on that one.
We're just not good enough to start a game, even with the injuries we had. He only started using Godfrey long after most people were saying he should be playing.
First off, been to the stadium many many teams and even though you can't class it as new, the facilities are excellent and its makes me excited about us moving to BMD.
We have been a tough watch recently and against the class of City expected that to be the case again.
Not that he's been in great form but as soon as Grey went down injured and I saw Iwobi coming on, I knew any tiny possibility of a result had gone. You can't carry players in these games and he's a liability. The skewed clearance from right back that went straight to City player and put us back under pressure is as unforgivable for a Premier League footballer. Equally, in games against City you need to make the most of your opportunities and he failed to make anything of getting played in down in the left and just before their goal he had the opportunity to play Richarlison in was the pass was abysmal.
Even allowing for us having injuries to some key players, their team and squad is miles ahead in terms of quality.
It was no watershed yesterday. A disappointing display against a top side. We did hold our shape well for large parts of the game but it was largely one way traffic.
A positive result against Brentford would be great going into the Derby.
