I was making a silly point really
I have no idea how this sort of things work. But on the face of it, as an outsider it seems strange that a guy who reportedly wants a front seat on managers and signings, up to six months ago was taking a back seat on stadium financing.
and potential lenders expressed a strong preference for a properly qualified FD. I'd assume Sasha could have kept a Board role if he was not held accountable by Moshiri for the issues nailing funding. It is unclear if Moshiri also holds DBB accountable but the buzz is he apparently got a lot more personally involved six months or so ago per City mates.
DBB has reputedly been putting herself about over last 6-12 months supposedly trying to turn her fan’s voice/football review involvement and EFC big infrastructure investment into a big public appointment, be it regional or national. There have been whispers about it on and off all year in certain fan cliques.
Someone with far better knowledge of Westminster & NW Region than me tells me DBB has not necessarily been super impressive on the football review and regional investment panel roles she has (nice sound bites, no real analytical or strategic depth behind that) but competence is not required PM down in politics so...
Her continued EFC presence might not be what either she or Moshiri ideally prefer but that is speculative. I’ve not heard anything reliable on her landing any new role & I’d think the only way a CEO gets fired before stadium financing is signed off is if the lenders require it.
our DOF gets a bit of a pass because we think the accountant owner is interfering, the CEO and FD get the blame for decisions the accountant owner probably should be taking.
All speculation of course, who the #### knows what goes on in the circus that is our club.
that explains why our FD has moved on?
Didn’t Sascha whatshisname leave a few months ago?
as an accountant, that is the bit Moshiri should be having very direct involvement with, rather than what right back we do or more accurately, dont sign!
The story I got was that she’s leaving, not that she’s been sacked.
It was connected with the debt position & the terms of funding being changed as a result for phase2 of the stadium build.
That doesn’t really add up (her leaving of her own accord) if she’s cocked up on the debt, but that was the message
who sit in the Bullens, and someone who is main stand so clearly a story that spread round parts of the ground on saturday
