Thanks. With DCL and Richarlson we would have won that...
I thought WHU were poor, but we were very poor. Iwobi was shocking. The sooner we get DCL and Richarlson back the better.
Well that was indeed disappointing, though to be fair what we expected.
The crowd were as quiet as I can remember - basically down to them playing us off the park so quickly.
We did try - I agree with some of the posts down the board.
Godfrey looked fitter and better - especially in the air.
Digne however, looked less than his best.
Allan and Doucoure did ok but we were certainly beaten by a better side/squad.
We thought with DCL and Richarlison we probably would have drawn that - maybe even sneaked a win.
How Iwobi stayed on so long I donít know. Nothing he tried worked. He might be great in training but he clearly has not got it in the real match situation. That fluffed chance would have been out away by any other player surely?
Rondon. Not the answer. Ronnie Goodlass was certainly of the same opinion in the post match phone in on BBC Merseyside.
At half time many of us wanted to see Iwobi gone for Gordon. But we knew Benitez would not change Rondon say for Dobbin. Maybe itís because that would be admitting it was an error to sign him?
I know heís probably not match fit, but it is a concern that he has lost the ability to bully his opponent - and equally that his heading is not as sharp. He did have a decent chance that just missed the post - but we felt it was unchallenged and that a player of his experience should have hit the target given that fact.
Benitez - well he waited too long to make changes.
Iíd have loved to see Dobbin given a go in the last 10 minutes.
Gordon wasnít given long enough - he must be gutted after playing well against Utd, and seeing how ineffective Iwobi was.
Weíre missing the Watford game, as weíre away on breaks. Itís a must win. Iím not sure weíll see DCL or Richarlison starting. I hope they do. We donít want a similar slide to last year.
