Ah, I'm not the only one comparing them to Caravan!
In the Land of Grey and Pink is one of my favourite albums.
so either I've made a glaring error or they really are pretty much unknown.
I'm thinking it must be a glaring error as the production is really good, far better than I was expecting.
They remind me of Caravan (very much so in fact) and Camel quite a bit, also shades of Arena. Production is excellent, very clear drums. Nuclear Nightclub will be listened to a lot over the next few weeks. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing this Makes. I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of Wigwam but have really enjoyed listening to Nuclear Nightclub as I cooked dinner. It's such a horrible fact of life that many people only get the recognition and appreciation they deserve when they are not around to accept it.
Jim Pembroke who moved to Finland on the 60s and was the singer and songwriter for the best Finnish progrock band ever, Wigwam. If you like 70s prog Nuclear Nightclub and Being and two albums definitely worth checking out. They were definitely good enough to make a breakthrough internationally but back then it was not so easy to do from here as contacts were few and far between.
On learning that the fella from Fingermouse passed away.
RIP Rick Jones.
