I think you're right on Koeman
And whilst I'm sure they'll sign some 'Robinho' style signing (which I'm sure will be Coutinho on loan for some reason), it's going to take a good while to bring at least a dozen new players in and hope they all work immediately, as that squad is absolute dogshit.
I don't think so. I don't remember whether we knew Usmanov was involved or not or whether Moshiri would splash the cash anyway - an oligarch('s sidekick) doesn't have sovereign fund cash or apparently the means to laugh in the face of FFP (I don't think we knew how that would play out either back then.)
Signing Koeman - even if he turned out to be good (and we ignore the fact that it took City a decade to find a primo manager) - didn't strike me as step one in a sprint to imminent dominance rather than an incremental approach to improvement.
