I agree it’s a good deal and he has good upside. And I think he’ll be a good signing. Marcus Bent had pretty much the definition of a mediocre career before joining us but was a great signing.
But if we hadn’t signed Gray I doubt too many would be complaining about the great talent we’d missed out on.
Completely worth the gamble. Like the signing. We still replaced expensive mediocrity that had potential (Walcott, Bolasie, Bernard) with cheaper mediocrity that has potential (and Gray hasn’t achieved even a slither of what at least two of those - Walcott and Bernard - did in their careers).
