I’m not convinced he’s particularly pacey. I could be wrong. Any stats on that in relation to other pacey PL strikers?
He has pace +++. He is powerful and strong. His first touch is not great, his decision making is dubious, and his movement isn't instinctive, so he often reacts slowly to get into the right positions. In the PL, where players are afforded little time on the ball, his negative qualities mean he gets little opportunity to showcase the better aspects of his game. In Italy or France, he would have more time to get set on the ball and have an impact. With the right coaching and time to adjust, he could be immense for us; equally he might never get to the pace of the PL but be absolute mustard in a slower paced league. I think he has his sights elsewhere rather than doing the work to become a success in the PL though, sadly. Hopefully we're able to cash in and make a profit.
