I get the point of the joke, but if I worked on a building site, I would never even think about letting anyone else make my sandwiches, let alone expecting
someone (like a spouse) make them for me. 😏
But you're probably right about Moshiri's ability to pick a good manager, although for once I must say that Kenwright made a very good move in hiring Moyles back in 2002.
How about getting someone who might just be very good at their job, who we know play decent footy
God forbid you wake up and realise the club is run by idiots ...... a new Manager every 18 months and still many fans refuse to point the finger at those who make the decisions ! I am reminded of the old building site joke, where the new young apprentice ends up sitting between two old carpenters in the canteen every day. For the first week, the fella on his left opens up his sandwiches and says 'Oh no, not cheese again' as he proceeds to moan about them and how shes fed up with cheese. Into week two and the kid is tired of the daily moan beside him .... so he turns to the guy on the other side and says 'why does Bill not ask his wife to make him some ham sandwiches instead?'. The guy starts laughing out loud and says ...... "sure Billy's not married, he makes his own lunch every day!!.
Kenwright and Moshiri have wasted millions on managers and players, why would you think they have the ability to get it right next time? as useless an owner and chairman as you could find in my opinion.
My only hope is that Usmanov gets the power and is willing to sort out their mess. He may very well want Rafa, but the chances are he knows he will have to give him a big budget to sort ous out and that is the botton line.
