There is a particularly Dutch cultural thing of being very blunt and telling
people they are idiots to their face.
They call it bespreekbaarheid
and view it as a big plus and being brutally honest, but it doesn't go down well at all with non-Dutch people.
No idea about Brands, but Koeman embodies it.
what I'd say is, a huge problem previously was that Koeman and Walsh didnt get on, like big time didnt get on, Koeman thought Walsh a ####ing idiot by all accounts.
That hurt us.
There were reports that Brands wanted to keep Silva, but was over ruled, there were reports that he and Ancelotti werent best buddies, though nothing like the Koeman Walsh relationship.
What we dont need is a manager and DOF who dont see eye to eye. If so why have a DOF, but when we've just appointed brands to every board of directors under the sun, he aint going anywhere.
We need harmony in direction, even if not total agreement. It might well be that Nuno is someone Brands is happy with, but if not, then its a big mistake.
