...it's almost the better the player, the closer they are to being the player we want them to be, the *more* it annoys people that they're not quite there yet, or just falling short, *even if they are one of the best players at the club*.
Barkley suffered from it, he was one of our best players at the time, but because he wasn't Rooney, or whatever, he was often suggested as the player to move on/upgrade, despite being surrounded by a load of shite at times.
DCL is getting it at times, unless he scores 20 a season.
Yes, maybe DCL and Richarlison won't be regulars if we ever win the league, but surely you upgrade the weaker players first, instead of your best ones!
When you admit he’s decent and a huge ####ing portion of the squad we have can quite easily be classed as ####ing shite.
Surely we need to keep the decent ones and add more decent ones and then when we’ve got a squad full of players who are more than decent then we get rid of the ones who are only decent.
Give me ####ing strength.
If he was English he'd be regarded as rubbish.
He does put a shift in, but I'd be looking at moving him on.
I dont get the hype around him. He's decent. No more.
Do you think someone had a word with him at half time?
Whilst he wasn't spectacular in the second half, he was frequently looking up and playing the pass early. And we looked far more cohesive as a unit in Villa's half as a result.
