In other team sports the best teams get a handicap to level the playing field Previous Message
...I guess when it comes down to it, supporting a football team is preconditioned on the idea that the rules of the competition are not deliberately stacked against you.
Essentially it would be saying that depending on a teams history up to the point the rule was introduced, the points per win/draw would be worth a different amount.
This is distinct, I think, from being at a financial disadvantage (City, Chelsea, etc). Previous Message

In the future, an Everton, Leicester or West Ham could finish 4th, but be relegated to the EL because a Liverpool, Chelsea or Man Utd finished 8th but had a better record in the previous 3 CL seasons...... That's ####in scandalous and will happen regularly across Europe's big leagues Previous Message
Saw on Twitter that it’d be very Everton if:
We finish 4th
Liverpool are lower, but win Champions League
Spurs or Arsenal are lower but win Europa
I’m which case we’d be Europa, not CL.
And unlike last time I doubt UEFA would change the rules to suit us.
