Nobody even remembered heíd done that until he started accusing others of antisemitism.
I know heís apologised because Iíve had the misfortune of reading some of his tweets over the last few years but Iím pretty sure that most people donít. Can you think of anything which may have led to a situation where the incidents you mention below are well known but Baddielís apology for blacking up is not? Hereís a clue: itís got absolutely nothing to do with antisemitism but is connected to relevancy and the media.
Baddiel is still slammed decades later for sumthin he has apologised for and was much more acceptable at the time. Corbyn tweets that awful picture, ken Livingston repeatedly brings up Hitler when taking about Jews and Israel, Lansman talks about Jews counting gold, all are forgiven immediately.
was all about, should read, Jews Don't Count by David Baddiel. Short and to the point. Its not really about Labor but antisemitism more generally.
