i do think we have a tendency to be far too static in midfield (especially without allan or davies), which definitely won't help a player like him at all.

in fairness, i wouldn't have described him as 'quick-thinking' like that article, so given they're professional football scouts and i'm just a frustrated fan, it did make me wonder if there's a reason that he *looks* slow of thought, and it wasn't a stretch to think that poor movement around him giving him no options (which i've seen plenty of our players shouting about, too, so that's not just my imagination) means he's going to end up running into blind alleys and playing more difficult balls (which fail to complete) due to that.
