"one of the real strengths of Iwobiís game is his technical ability in tight areas of the field"
he's good at creating chances in the congested part of the pitch where you need quick decision making. I think with quality players around him this could become even more prominent - i.e. if he has the likes of Digne and James feeding him and DCL/Richarlison finishing things off he can be a good link
Plus good workrate and defensive positioning
for his age, nationality, etc he wasn't over priced. there's a chance that under Carlo he can take a step up in which case he'd be very much worth the fee. worst case is we sell him to someone like Newcastle or West Ham and get back a decent amount of the money.

I haven't seen anything to suggest that that would play to his strengths. Yes, he runs with the ball across the middle sometimes, but it's more often from right to left than with much penetration.
but James and Siggy are both ahead of him in that position
i don't think he's suited to being out on the right, given that he can't cross and lacks blistering pace
i do wonder if Carlo may try a christmas tree at some point, e.g. having James/Siggy and Iwobi tucked in behind wither DCL or Richarlison.
He actually looks like an athletic and strong footballer until he gets the ball. His running with the ball again looks great. However thatís where it stops.
The moment he wakes up with the ball he goes into panic mode. Decision making with passing is generally awful and results in giving it away.
He doesnít have the pace to go outside and defenders double up and show him inside. Usually resulting in a lost ball. His alternative is an angled cross which is under hit and cleared by the first defender.
Canít really fault his work rate, certainly compared to some others.
Shooting ability looks pretty non existent.
Overall Iím sorry but I just donít see any sign that he will ever succeed here. Wish him well but looks like a big financial write off
