So that means either playing Richarlison back in his wide left role or bringing in another player to pull wide left and stretch the opposition defence.
Given that Richarlison has started scoring against since Carlo switched him up alongside DCL I don't think we can afford to accomodate Iwobi in this way. So until we have another winger on the other side, he's next to useless to us. Previous Message
He actually looks like an athletic and strong footballer until he gets the ball. His running with the ball again looks great. However that’s where it stops.
The moment he wakes up with the ball he goes into panic mode. Decision making with passing is generally awful and results in giving it away.
He doesn’t have the pace to go outside and defenders double up and show him inside. Usually resulting in a lost ball. His alternative is an angled cross which is under hit and cleared by the first defender.
Can’t really fault his work rate, certainly compared to some others.
Shooting ability looks pretty non existent.
Overall I’m sorry but I just don’t see any sign that he will ever succeed here. Wish him well but looks like a big financial write off
