He has some of the attributes you'd look for (energetic, can carry the ball), but is drastically lacking in others (decision making, ability to beat a man, ability to cross a ball properly, ability to get amongst the goals).
In his favour, we're not exactly blessed with strength in depth in those wide attacking positions, so I'd imagine whether anyone thinks he's up to scratch / could make it or not, would not matter too much at this stage anyway. Barring a silly offer for him in the summer, I'd imagine he'll still be a part of the squad next season purely based upon numbers and the fact that age is still on his side.
In wide positions, we have Richarlison, plus, depending upon how we set up, Rodriguez - that's it as far as I'm concerned.
None of the rest of them (bar perhaps Bernard if we're generous and we cast our minds back a season or two) have established themselves as dependable wide players in any way (Iwobi, Gordon, King).
It's pretty obvious where our transfer priorities should lie in the summer.
He actually looks like an athletic and strong footballer until he gets the ball. His running with the ball again looks great. However thatís where it stops.
The moment he wakes up with the ball he goes into panic mode. Decision making with passing is generally awful and results in giving it away.
He doesnít have the pace to go outside and defenders double up and show him inside. Usually resulting in a lost ball. His alternative is an angled cross which is under hit and cleared by the first defender.
Canít really fault his work rate, certainly compared to some others.
Shooting ability looks pretty non existent.
Overall Iím sorry but I just donít see any sign that he will ever succeed here. Wish him well but looks like a big financial write off
