It took about 10 years off me. Still remember assuring the bloke in front that it was Farrelly that had lashed it in. Previous Message
but his goal kept us from sliding through the trapdoor and becoming another Nottingham Forest or Sheffield Wednesday. Or worse. So will remain forever grateful for that.
Still remember the atmosphere that day, the news coming through that Bolton were 2-0 down and an almost jublilant mood starting to build then the panic in the air after Dublin equalised. Those last few minutes seemed to go on for ever as we desperately hoofed it clear again and again. Jesus, that was tense! Previous Message
Just for that goal really. He was a constant disappointment apart from that. Previous Message
I know many will go for one of McFadden's first two games for us against Preston and Leeds, but for me it has got to be Gascoigne's cameo in the FA Cup against Leyton Orient in 2002.
OK you've got to take into account the level of the opposition, but on that occasion (and the only occasion) I thought we saw exactly the player everyone had raved about for years previously.
NINETEEN YEARS ago tomorrow that game
