FFP issues-aside for a moment, I don't think a bid of £60 million would have got anywhere near getting Zaha on board. Palace were in the driving seat at the time and were demanding crazy money well north of £60m, something that could only have been got around had Zaha asked for a transfer, and there were no signs of that happening.
