| I remember now; you turned the Ferguson matter into another rant about Johnson.
Yes, because (a) the hypocrites in government were threatening him with the police, whilst turning a blind eye to Johnson and Jenrick, and (b) the coverage was being all moralistic (as were you) about him breaking lockdown rules to get his hole, whilst having no problem whatsoever turning a blind eye to the endless transgressions of Johnson. At no point did I defend Ferguson, he had to go, but the hypocrisy on show from the usual suspects was galling.
Why go to the papers about it? And why the Guardian?
Probably because the police did fu
ck all, and he knew the Mail, S*n, Express, Times, Telegraph etc would have suppressed it for partisan political reasons (just as The Telegraph waited three weeks before breaking the Ferguson story on the day the UK surpassed Italy in deaths; remember, Ferguson's report killed off Cummings's herd immunity bollocks, and somebody was going to get chucked under the bus for it).
I think everyone on here hates hypocrites. (That’s why we all dislike kopites.)
I don't think that's true. The first bit, not the second.
You were saying that because Ferguson’s girlfriend visited him and not he her, his behaviour was somehow defensible. Ferguson, Cummings and that Scottish medical official are equally culpable.
As for your final, somewhat snide comment, I don’t give a shit who they are, a nark is a nark. Bubbling someone for politically-motivated reasons - because that’s really what this is about - is a shit trick.
Isn’t that a bit hypocritical of you?
I repeat that I believe Cummings should go. He may claim that the journey was “essential travel”, if he has no other family, but he has to be responsible for his actions. He should go.
And no, I wouldn’t bubble anyone.
If you're saying you wouldn't have bubbled him, given that he is in danger of infecting everyone he comes into contact with, and others besides, don't you think that's a bit irresponsible of you?
The guy should definitely resign - but how could he be so stupid as to give his enemies this opportunity?
That said, some sneaky #### - sorry, “a witness” - has called up the Guardian, just as Carrie Symonds’ neighbour recorded an argument between her and Johnson and passed it to... the Guardian. And just as some “concerned citizen” grassed up Neil Ferguson. What sort of country are we becoming?
Drove 4 hours across the U.K. with corona to hand his kid to his parents.
Where to start?!
( as a father of a toddler I can’t think of many worse situations than having to care for her while sick for 2 weeks but even so.... )
