He’s not going anywhere and why would he?
He absolutely should go but the time when accountability and decency would result in either resignation or being forced out is an era long gone. What we’ve witnessed in the last few years is a government that has become aware that there really aren’t any consequences for what they do.
What will happen if he doesn’t resign or isn’t sacked? The world will keep spinning and enough voters will have forgotten it - aided by prominent media who are clearly on the payroll - that they’ll still be re-elected.
He won’t resign. It’s clear from the Cabinet’s coordinated response that he won’t be forced out.
He’s not going anywhere.
The guy should definitely resign - but how could he be so stupid as to give his enemies this opportunity?
That said, some sneaky #### - sorry, “a witness” - has called up the Guardian, just as Carrie Symonds’ neighbour recorded an argument between her and Johnson and passed it to... the Guardian. And just as some “concerned citizen” grassed up Neil Ferguson. What sort of country are we becoming?
Drove 4 hours across the U.K. with corona to hand his kid to his parents.
Where to start?!
( as a father of a toddler I can’t think of many worse situations than having to care for her while sick for 2 weeks but even so.... )
