Which is exactly why my dad is avoiding some of the traditional remedies :( nt
... which is an anti inflammatory. Allopurinol for long term treatment.
...which he thinks is gout as he's had in his foot on the same side...
He has a long list of ailments, and the gout medicine that they would usually prescribe is no good for him, and he's not allowed ibuprofen either, so when it gets like it is at the moment - very swollen, hot to the touch and bright red (yes, yes, fnarr fnarr) - there's very little he can do with it other than take paracetamol to help with the pain (they prescribed codeine yesterday but we think that sent him a bit wobbly and light-headed last night) and Voltarol gel helps a bit, but just wondering if anyone on here has had similar issues and have any suggestions.
My dad's advice - don't get old.
I'd rather die with our history than live with theirs...
