Just getting the ball to him in or around the penalty area would be a great start
while i'd love him to be able to drop deep, pick the ball up 40 yards from goal, dribble past 3 players and slam one in the top corner. He's only 19 and playing football in a foreign country. He'll need time to adapt and he's 3 years younger than DCL. He needs help, and he's not getting much of that from those around him. Delph for example, has been totally everton'd already. He'll always play the ball wide despite there being better options through the middle. That sort of nonsense can't be helping any of our strikers.
He's clearly got ability, hopefully with time the stuff that comes with experiance and a regular run of games like awareness and positioning (things DCL is only just getting to grips with) will improve.
whilst being in an amazing team would clearly help , he's got absolutely sod all awareness of where the ball is going or where best to go himself. As a result he's a bit of an agent of chaos, relying on hard work & blind luck to be in the right place or play the right pass. There's a lot of work ahead if he's going to turn into anywhere near the player we thought we were signing.
They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.
