The level of ignorance of some people is astounding
it doesn't always correlate with their level of intelligence - a lot of people just pay little attention to politics and vote based on the most trivial reasons without feeling any need to dig a bit deeper into the evidence.
This is how Johnson wins on Thursday.
... I was at my daughter's drama club last week and a mother who was also waiting said how much she loved Boris and was fed up of people being nasty about him on TV. As I knew she was from a fairly socially deprived background I asked her did she think the Conservative Party had her best interests at heart. She said she didn't usually vote but never voted Conservative. So I asked her who she thought Boris supported and she said 'he's Labour isn't he'. Who knows who she'll end up voting for but if it was a Presidential election it would definitely be for Boris.
Wouldnt't matter if it was Shakin Stevens as Prime minister.
