You know what.. If the situation had been reversed they would have
fought tooth and nail to stay in the competition and wouldn't let it rest until they did.
... it might even have gone to court but it was a half hearted challenge and with Thatcher right behind the ban there was little hope of success. But at least we got to play in the Full Members Cup as compensation.
