Not all of them, for sure; and lots of people who didn't have much educational opportunity rightly despise Trump and all he stands for; and intelligence / moral perspicacity are very poorly correlated with educational attainment.
But the least-well educated Americans have been ####ed by the system over the last 40 years, and they'd like it to go back to when a high school diploma would get someone a decent job. Clintonism didn't work for them; they're not knowledge-economy people.
I'd like to see a world where a high-school diploma could get a person a job with dignity and security, too. But the fact that the less-educated vote for policies that will #### then even more than they have been ####ed already is just further evidence of Dunning-Kruger among the MAGA cohorts.
In brief: Trump tells it like it is in language the working man can understand, with a side-order of white supremacist dog-whistling. No fancy book-learning, no fancy ideas about how diversity and change are positive values, no fancy vo-cab words and no fancy syntax. It gets them off; they think the likes of Obama are talking down to them, and they think that being sensitive to such things is the mark of their masculinity or whatever I don't know.
