It’s difficult to assess/judge not knowing the full facts.

It might be he needs the proverbial kick up the backside - eg given it was the second time and has also happened in Italy previously.

It might be that the management decided it would actually help him make the requisite change - knowing his character as they do/should

Depends on so many things I guess - to which we are not necessarily privy.

I genuinely hope Brands’ assessment of his potential - as a 60 million pound player by next year - is justified.

We’ll certainly see soon enough if lessons have been learnt.

Imagine what a difference a class act like the type of player Brands describes would have made in the first half against Southampton...
