He's made comments during the international break that he's unhappy with missing out on game time at Chelsea, and how it might affect his chances of making the French Euro 2020 squad. He's fallen behind Tammy Abraham in the Chelsea pecking order.
At age 33, we can't view him as a long-term solution, but he's a top-class forward with an impressive scoring record, with some excellent goals in there too. DCL and Kean could learn a lot from Giroud's experience. And he'd be likely to get a positive report on the club from Lucas Digne. Giroud would be significantly older than the profile of players who we'd usually go for. But could he be worth considering as a signing in the January window, even if only for a couple of seasons? I don't think he'd satisfy our need/wish for quicker players, mind you!
