That's the way it's looking to me - no deal by the back door
calculation probably being that by the end of 2020, Johnson will have a majority and can no longer be restrained by Parliament. The worrying thing is that this is odds on.
...will have believed the opposite re: workers rights, standards etc.
Both will have trusted Johnson.
In any case, when the FTA doesn't get completed by the end of next year, which it surely won't, then the transition period ends and the nutters get their "WTO exit" anyway!
...needs to look at how the DUP's useful idiots have been chucked under the bus.
The same will happen to them.
On a more fundamental level, they need to ask themselves if they believe that worker's rights will be maintained by Dominic "Lazy Shirkers" Raab and his ilk.
If this deal passes through Parliament with the help of Labour MP's, there are absolutely no circumstances which would see me vote for the Labour Party ever again.
... I fully expect it to pass. I am acquanted with one Labour MP in a very strong leave area who has agonised over this for months but is likely to back it reluctantly. Though I can't stand the man and I think he is bad for Britain I think Boris Johnson has played a blinder for himself and the Conservative Party.
