It's probably a little bit sooner than I'd planned but I took him to watch Tranmere at Wembley in the League 2 play off final in May and he was surprisingly attentive and loved the big stadium, the crowd and he was even trying to join in with songs he'd never heard of before.
The other factor is being from a 'mixed marriage' and having a wife and a lot of family who are of a Red persuasion, its important I continue his Everton education and try and get him hooked. In this digital age it's hard even for a 3 year old who's into football avoiding footage on Youtube etc of that lot lifting their trophy in May and it's not easy explaining to one of such tender age as to why Richarlison, Gomes, Pickford etc are missing when showing him footage of us lifting silverware.
By coincidence my first game was against West Ham and a 4-0 win (86/87) and the sentamentalist in me hopes we can somehow pull something similar off tomorrow. But 3 points will do just fine. COYB.
