were quoting Joe Anderson tweets .
it has certainly not delivered what it promised to date for me . the lack of match reports is a major gaffe
and the constant interviews with ex players and their wives ... one every blue moon would be ok , but every week / day .. wtf ?
who know where the Everton press office is being rebranded as significant commentators. The promise of insight but no real insight. It's a load of bollocks, to be honest.
They should have got one or two of the best footie reporters (anyone except Henry Winter) to spend a week at Burnley, a week at Man City, a week at Everton, and had one or two others follow whoever is making news. I'd love that; I'd rather read an interesting story about Potter at Brighton than a tedious one about Everton.
Plus, they really need to add match reports ffs. And better, more consistent tactics/training/management stuff.
The Guardian have added Jonathan Liew with the money they're saving on Daniel Taylor et al. A much better move than to the Athletic, I think.
Just started a free trial with them and quite impressed with the quality of the writing.
Been reading a great story about Brian Clough taking two youngsters from a rough home in Sunderland under his wing after meeting them when Nottingham Forest were staying in a hotel in the North East.
