I attended a Merseyside comp in the 80's where verbal bullying was pretty common...

... and much of it revolved around calling people bender, gaylord, puff, arse chaser and many other sexuality based insults. Inevitably a lot of boys became publicly homophobic in such a climate and some properly fearful. At the time it felt like gay people were few and far between and whilst I don't believe I ever personally made a homophobic insult I probably did carry some prejudices into adulthood. Over the past 30 years getting to know many gay people through work that prejudice has fortunately disappeared.
If the opinions of everyone on this board on, say, homosexual rights, that were expressed say 25 or 30 years ago, were revealed now, would anyone be embarrassed at their previously held views? Or have your views changed in the intervening years?
