That's interesting. You would think the hardware in the TV would be superior
to what they can fit on a small and relatively cheap piece of kit like a Firestick.
Unless as EverToon suggests, it's a firmware problem.
Bought an LG smart TV about a year ago and although the picture and sound are really good it has worsened for some reason over time with the likes of Netflix and Prime what with the buffering and the like. The hub is upstairs as that is where my PC is.
Anyhow, a few reviews I read recently suggested that LG are good TV's but they don't have a good reputation as smart TV's. So, I took an Amazon Firestick from another TV we hardly ever use and put it on the one with the issues. Problem solved. I'm supposing the stuff inside the Firestick is better than the stuff inside the LG smart TV? Might be worthwhile if you experience the same problems with buffering. As a bonus we have the Xray and Alexa on the main telly.
