The Walcott conundrum is by far
the most questionable psychological (or possibly pathological) error of judgement I have seen at this club for years (and crikey we’ve seen a few odd ones).
Does not deserve a place in the first team. Looks abjectly lost at all times, has the appearance of a child playing amongst men.
Silva’s persistence in bringing him on is the oft used definition of madness - doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
I am f*cking baffled by Silva’s decision making. Is it even his decision? I’m resisting the childish urge not to watch us play when Walcotts in the squad. But ffs I’m in my 50’s and can’t give in to that line of thinking.
Has there been any occasion when bringing him on as sub has resulted in us winning, scoring or improving in any way?
The only time I can recall is when he scored the fourth V Man U in a game we'd already wrapped up comfortably.
As I say, it's a genuine question and I'd be grateful if anyone could provide an example.
