Moshiri didn't just sanction the wages, he claimed to scout Tosun.
He is quite clearly a tit.
We were pretty much safe by the time he arrived, so he added little in either the short or long-term. He cost a fortune, is on a huge wage, and has contributed to Brands having to operate with a hand tied behind his back. See also Cenk Tosun.
Moshiri was crazy authorising £50m+ huge wages on those two; especially when he must have known Allardyce wasn't going to be the manager beyond the season, so there was every chance a new manager would want to reassess in any case. Loan to buy...sure. Outright purchases of both? Utterly negligent.
Walcott's not terrible, and when he came in he was one of our best players at the time. We just didn't need him. It was a signing with no thought of the future at all.
