I think that you think you are being really reasonable, and you are - until you make your next point about identifying the person you are talking to with the people who you really dislike.
"only micks, tagues, bog-trotters etc"
That's pathetic and well beneath you and shame on you for labelling anyone who could have an argument against yours with such slurs.
This, and the peter reid thing today, are just silly. Taking "sides" - what the ####? How can an argument or a viewpoint be judged by anything other than it's validity, isn't that what you are trying to argue anyway? That logic should be the way things are talked about?
"If this person agrees with you, then you are on the wrong side" is just pure bollocks. As are assertions like your racist slurs - like if you think otherwise, then you must therefore think Irish people are Micks? Wtf.
It's only workable as a point within your particular argument. Look how many people are now siding with MPs who supported austerity. Ken Clarke is a capitalist, right wing Tory MP who has been a member of the party that has seen millions of people's lives suffer due to ideological policy. He is a remainer, therefore you should be ashamed to support his views? Do you now support low tax rates? Or business tax breaks? How about cuts to sure start or funding for the police? You must support that, as you agree with him on Brexit?
Ridiculous. You lot, and there are a few of you on here who use this style of argument, should drop that shit and play the ball not the man. Whether or not farage agrees is irrelevant, IMO, and it lessens the tone.
Reading this back (i cant be arsed changing it) I've realised its quite aggressive - I don't mean to be. I hope you can see that separating the argument from rhetoric is worthwhile, on all sides. Although you probably will think "#### him forever, if he comes to my door begging for water it's his own fault" due to my view on this philosophical issue, but hopefully when the shit hits the fan I can count on you for a tin of aldi beans and a scrap of bog roll.
