Totally Disagree with that
Tex Watson Linda kasabian Patricia Krenwinkel and particularly Susan Atkins ended the hippie generation peace and love generation with a slaughter of innocent people over 2 nights . In the hands of a better director this would of been more skilfully portrayed with sympathy for all the families involved but with Tarantino it was just an excuse for his self indulgence
When watching the film both myself and the audience start to get twitchy for that last 30 mins with the big buildup expecting the gruesome ending, which I suppose came but as expected.
For me it was an almost melancholic ending in the sense that it was alternate reality for Sharon Tate and gave her an existence that in real life was cut short and her memory always tainted by her murder.
Maybe that overly naiive/romantic but thats how I feel.
No more than 6 out of 10 for me Brad Pitt excellent dragged a lot in the middle should of been at least 30 mins shorter and finally what was that ending all about?? That didnít happen so why make a film about what was the main story was when you just make it up absolutely crazy!!
