Mina stopped everything first half when Pickford was flapping.
He was everywhere in the second half too, winning the header against Deeney that started the transition where Kean cut in and shot over the bar.
He's not quite got positional discipline sorted but that is a collective responsibility with Gbamin, Digne and Keane in particular.
Watford are a strong physical team and the match was really marginal. A slight deflection from Dawson was the difference.
...especially second half where Deeney seemed to beat him to nearly everything - he's nowhere near as commanding as he needs to be and as he was in the World Cup for Columbia where he seemed towin everything. I'm also very nervous when he's on the ball - he doesn't look comfortable and always looks like his got a mistake in him to me - still gutted we didn't get Zouma
I almost have to exclude Digne from my MoM considerations as he's just so consistently good that it almost seems unfair, but other than him we had it as a toss-up between Gomes and Bernard as MoM.
Walcott is just not good enough - was very surprised (and disappointed) to see him coming on rather than Iwobi - can only assume he's not fully match fit yet.
Reasonable performance 1st half - never really got going 2nd half and I couldn't have complained if Watford had equalised (especially having seen the replay of the VAR penalty - I've seen those given plenty of times!)
So far, so good-ish...
