2ND POST (1ST POST I DID NOT( PROOF READ)
Sorry about words out of order on 1st post. Here is a more readable post due to the fact I was typing on my phone. I was disappionted in the remake of Patsy Cline. I did not like the background singers compared to the Joidanaires quartet. It does not sound as professional as those guys tight harmony. You could have left them and pulled back on their voices digitally. "I Fall To Pieces was surprising to me because, Patsy did not want back up sngers on that song and you have put a male singing harmony on the verses?? I suppose Patsy has turned over in her grave over that one. The piano player is certainly not Floyd Cramer. He made the song "Crazy" what it became along with Patsy's voice. I have read the booklet and I did not like the remark given concerning Harold Bradley, of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting and hearing play. I did like the steele guitar one of my favorite instruments being added more into the songs. I heard Patsy's raw voice at the museum on screen singing "Sweet Dreams" and it gave me cold chills. I think if a Patsy Cline accapella CD had been publised we would have bought it. So called country music singers today cannot sing like this woman in non-digital alterations. On a scale from 1-10 I would give this a #4 because regardless of what you try to do you can't improve perfection. Perfection in Patsy's days of recording are just that, perfect! I preferr to listen to waht I already have and just keep this one to look at her beautiful picture on the cover. If it ain't broke don't try to fix it, is my motto.
