Very sorry to read about your illness. Regarding what you said about your AP, I;m unsure if it could help but for what it's worth I too am someone who in the past has found it difficult to go if hearing peoples' voices nearby, and one way I got round it in cubicles/bathrooms is to make noise myself when in a quieter environment like a caravan or hotel room - sing quite loudly to myself, or hum, or something like that. Not only does it drown out peoples' voices, but it made me less aware of my surroundings and what I am in there to do, and hey presto I could go much easier as there's no unnerving silence (an anxiety trigger for me), to the point now where I can use cubicles without anxiety.
