Living on the gulf of Mexico, We have no forests . Just agriculture lands on flat deltas, very dry here ,tho some areas above us are victims of very heavy rains and floods . Last week and this week we are under what is called a heat dome and believe me our usual summer heat is making itself really felt. Yesterday and today at 4 pm it was actual 107 where Jim and I were out and about doing some shopping , We have some of our waitstaff at our eateries that have birthdays this week so spent time getting gift cards and birthday cards to take to them on their day. Our church helped with a bakesale at a Sr home that has several members that had a Christmas in July sale today and ask us to participate. I stayed home and baked disasters yesterday. So today, Jim and I went to a beloved Mexican bakery and bought sweets and bagged things to contribute for the sale.

I tried to enhance some recipes to make things taste nice for the sale and it was a total failure.Jim is enjoying that baking, but it just was not what I wanted for the sale. It all worked out what I took.

OOps, this isn't a good answer to a weather question, is it?? But it is fun getting to post here again, maybe some others will also.
