My granddaddy from Louisiana was Catholic so I was used to going to mass with him in the mornings.When I got old enough, my friends and I would go to Midnight mass . At that time, no other churches did a service on Eve, now they all do in most towns. We were always welcomed and then went to one of our homes for the tamale time and visits with the adults.
