Proms were different in my time-60's. It was put on by the Jr class for the Srs. We started earning the money and making the decorations beginning Freshman yr. We had a secret theme to begin, lots of fun for the 3 yrs getting ready, some got new dresses, some borrowed. Guys rented tux mostly tho not required.We had the 3 yrs to get ready and dream, go thru several boy friends sometimes, lol, but it was a wonderful time for most of us.
