Just another day here. Step-daughter is spending it with her Mother, who is ailing from kidney disease.

Step-dtr came down the other day with an arrangement of flowers for me for my b-day and Mother's Day combined and asked if I wanted to go to the garden center and pick out flowers for my garden. Of course I said yes. So we went and she pulled the wagon and we loaded it up with flowers.

She is such a thoughtful, giving person. She holds the family together. She looks after Hb and me, her own Mother, her daughter and g-child and her late brothers 4 kids. I worry about her being overwhelmed but she keeps cheerfully plugging along. She's a sweetheart.
