My grands are that way. Especially step-son's kids. They did not want to leave the nest and go out into the world. They socialized with each other and didn't have many friends outside the family. And they lived on buildings that were on their great grandmothers land. It was like a commune. I often told Hb that it was not healthy to be so dependent.

Now step son (their father) died. And about a year earlier their great grandmother had died. Great Grandma's land had to be sold and they all lost their house where they lived. And all of these kids are having a great deal of trouble dealing with these deaths. It's like their world has collapsed and they don't have the skills to deal with a world without their Dad and great grandmother. It's really sad.
