I have plenty of art but it isn't worth much in this area. This area is very bad for selling art. I was thinking when I die if I can just have friends come over (or at my memorial service) And pick out some artwork they like. I'd rather have it go to people I know and who would appreciate it.

When my Mom died, we called an auctioneer in. she really had nothing, just things of sentimental value. It didn't bring anything at auction.

That's a sobering experience. The auctioneer takes everything you remember as a kid and sells it off in a few hours. Then it's gone. And that's it.
