Starteed getting pay after my 5th grade in school, across the streets mostly. Same pay as Sue, I remember my first purchase- I put a sweater in lay a way and paid 50 cents at least each Sat. My brother and I each had a paper route, after school those days, no Sat and up at 5 am on Sunday. did it several yrs til school got in the way.

I also got paid 25 cents for each pr of kakai pants I ironed for a neighbor , Yea Sue, those salaries made me feel rich too !!!!
