What is your earliest memory?

Mine was very early in my childhood. I am guessing around 4 or so. My mom had put me in a time out and I had to sit in a chair and be quiet.

She sat me in my child's chair with was rattan and had those decorative geometric designs in black on the arms and around the back. I was staring at the rug which had a sun spot from the sun shining in the window. As I stared at the sunspot on the rug it would fade in and out. I didn't get what was happening. Then I looked up at the window and saw the sun being covered with clouds. The sun spot was gone. Then the sun broke through the clouds and the sun spot on the rug was back. When the sun was out, the sunspot was on the rug. When the sun was covered with clouds, sun spot disappeared. I figured out Sun + Clouds = Shade.
