places were closing at 9 or 10, but not Hootz. One dude was gonna send back his wings but the gal advised against it and said she'd just re-enter the order and comp it because the "chef" just got out of the joint and would get very temperamental if told he had made an error. We saw him in the back as he was leaving and he was a huge dude with a panoply of neck and face tattoos. Hootz is in an existential crisis financially and I assume this character is the standard issue back of the house bro working there now. This is your own fault for not checking the wings before you left.

But yesterday afternoon as I was driving home and passing the location near where I live, I decided to stop in and get some wings and curly fries to go. Planning on sitting down to watch some late afternoon television.
I do not recall Hooter's having multiple wing sauce flavors other than perhaps choices of heat levels. It now has about a dozen different flavors. When I asked the waitress what the classic Hooter's sauce was, she had no idea. So I ordered buffalo medium. Only for her to then ask me if I wanted my wings sauced or dry. Which seemed like an odd question after we just discussed sauce choices and I had actually ordred one. But who knows, maybe she was asking me if I wanted the sauce on the side. I again reiterated that I wanted sauced wings. Got home to find out I had nothing but plain breaded wings. Mediocre at best.
