on US Soccer in that game was gratifying. Seeing Belgium do that with Doku and De Bruyne on the bench most of the game was just a chef's kiss. And God bless FIFA for letting Balogun play so it isn't an issue that the US lost and no one can say "If we had Balogun we would have won" 40 years from now. The penalty shouldn't have been called. FIFA knows this and made the right move. A move the did for Ronoldo to keep him eligible for this WC. And Sassy says that we should still bench the guy. What a dumb fuck.

He saw the play. He knows there was no intention of harm. It was a soccer play and the guys feet got caught up. Barely even a foul. Lionel Messi did the same thing last week and didn't get a foul for it.

Also, FIFAs double yellow card and red card rules are so fucking dumb. You get a yellow card it two games and that is a suspension. You get one red card in a game and that is a suspension. Automatically.

How about this, if a guy gets a red card, you review the situaion and decide. If he makes a move like our guy did then you say "no suspension." If a player throws an elbow to a face or head butts someone like a crazed Frenchman then you susupend him.
