I was at the gun store owned by my gunsmith / armorer buddy. A middle-aged couple walked in accompanied by their teenage son. They proceeded to purchase almost 10k worth of firearms and accessories including:

1. An HK 416 rifle (a very high end AR-style rifle);
2. A Desert Eagle .50 pistol;
3. A special, custom Glock with suppressor;
4. Another more run of the mill Glock pistol;
5. A Turkish 12 gauge shotgun; and
6. Some very high end optics and magnifier for the rifle.

My buddy cut about $1,000 off of the total price of everything and threw in for free a used police trade-in .40 Glock pistol, some ammunition and some spare magazines.

After these folks left the store, my buddy told me that they come in about 3 or 4 times a year and make purchases of this magnitude.
